Visit the enigmatic city of inka power. The construction was ordered by Pachacutec and was said to be a center for politics and religious observances. Machu Picchu stands at 245 meters and was discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1914 after laying hidden for almost 500 years.

ITINERARY

Cusco-Aguas Calientes-Machu Picchu-Cusco

At 5:30am we Hill pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the San Pedro train station for your 4 hour ride to Aguas Calientes. Along the way, you will see many beautiful sights such as Ollantaytambo, and the hydro electric stations. You will see massive mountains, dense jungle vegetation, and the Vilcanota River. We will arrive in Aguas Calientes at about 1040am and descend to Machu Picchu by bus. You will be given a 2 hour guided tour of places such as the Sacred Solar Clock, the Principal Palace, The Watch Tower, 3 Window Temple, Cemetary, and much more. We will then go to the world famous Sanctuary Lodge for lunch with a great view of the ruins. We then take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes and board the train for your return to Cusco. Transfer to your hotel.
